Vyn is a personal AI life companion application. References to "Vyn", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to the Vyn service. Vyn operates under the laws of the United Kingdom.
We collect the following information when you use Vyn: • Your email address and password (used for account login) • Your first name (used to personalise your experience) • Documents and files you upload to the app • Text content extracted from your uploaded documents • Your voice preference setting (male or female) • Usage data such as when you log in and which features you use
We use your data solely to provide the Vyn service to you. Specifically: • Your documents are stored securely and used to answer your questions • Your name and preferences are used to personalise your experience • We do not use your data for advertising • We do not sell your data to third parties • We do not share your data with any third parties except those necessary to run the service (see below)
Vyn uses the following trusted third-party services to operate: • Supabase — secure database and file storage (EU servers) • Anthropic — AI processing of your documents and conversations • Vercel — application hosting • ElevenLabs — voice synthesis Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and operates under industry-standard security practices.
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union, operated by Supabase. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your files are stored in a private vault — they are not publicly accessible.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate data • Request deletion of your account and all associated data • Export your data To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Deleted documents are held in your trash for 7 days before permanent deletion. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
We take the security of your data seriously. We use row-level security to ensure that only you can access your own data. Files are stored in private, authenticated storage. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
Vyn is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
